What's new in Orbit, October 2026

October 20, 2026 · Now on the App Store

Orbit's October update is here, and it's all about making Orbit smarter about the things you've already told it — your health records, your calendar, your recordings — and harder to lose anything.

Health Records

Health Records organizes your information — it never diagnoses or gives medical advice.

A Notetaker that never loses a word

Record a meeting or a long thought and Orbit summarizes it on-device and pulls out the to-dos. It now saves continuously as you record, so a crash or an accidental tap can't wipe a long session — reopen and Orbit offers to recover it. A new Pause button lets you hold a recording and pick the same session back up later, and you can choose to keep the audio and export it.

Smarter Ask Orbit

Notifications that actually reach you

Routine, reminder, and weather alerts now come through reliably — Orbit sets up notifications on first launch so nothing slips past. Tap Connect in Settings to upgrade to full banners and sounds.

Apple Watch

New Temperature, Date, and Clock complications. Temperature shows a cold-to-hot range gauge with today's high and low, and the complication list is now alphabetical.

And more

A note on sharing health records with family

Sharing a person's Health Records with a link and a separate code, and the password-protected doctor PDF, work just as before. Live, auto-updating family sync is paused while I keep polishing it — I'd rather it be rock solid than rushed. It'll be back when it is.
