How it works

Jot anything into Capture — one box, by text or voice — and Orbit's on-device AI cleans it up and files it as a task, note, idea, person, or quote. You can even snap a photo of a flyer or poster and Orbit reads it, pulling out the event's title, date, time, and place, ready to add as a calendar event or reminder. A Today dashboard surfaces what actually matters, and Ask Orbit is right there to answer questions using everything you've stored, or to create a reminder, note, person, or project for you — it always checks with you before it writes anything — all without your data ever leaving the device.

Orbit noticed

Woven right into your Briefing, Orbit connects things no single section would catch on its own — a birthday coming up right when you haven't talked to that person in weeks, a car registration expiring while you're away on a trip, a rough night's sleep on a day packed with commitments. It's worked out entirely on your device, from data you already hold.

Calendar, reminders & inbox

• Calendar & Reminders — your real Apple Calendar and Reminders, not a duplicate; add events and reminders inline, and pin any individual list or calendar as its own dashboard section
• Email — an inbox glance over your own IMAP account (iCloud, Gmail, Yahoo, Fastmail, and more); read, reply, compose, sort, and clear out in bulk
• Deliveries — Orbit spots package trackers in your inbox and surfaces them automatically; you can also add a delivery by hand, and manual ones stay until you delete them and clear themselves about a week after they arrive

Countdowns

• Countdowns — count down to birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, or your own milestones, each with an emoji, an optional color, tags, a yearly repeat, and reminders
• Occasions — mark a countdown as a Birthday, Anniversary, Holiday, or a Custom occasion you name
• Count only the days that count — skip weekends, skip US federal holidays, or both to count work days
• Import — pull birthdays from Contacts or events from your Calendar and pick which to add
• Everywhere — on your widgets (a pick-any-countdown corner, plus a dedicated Countdowns widget), in your Timeline on the day it lands, and in a Countdowns section on Apple Watch

Health & activity

• Health — activity rings, steps, workouts, heart rate, resting heart rate, and blood oxygen; every metric is opt-in, and you can reorder them to put what matters first
• Sleep — a nightly sleep score, broken out into duration, bedtime, and interruptions, with your sleep stages

Health Records

A private place to keep your medical life organized — medications with dose reminders and refill tracking, symptoms logged on a tap-to-select body map, labs and vitals charted over time, appointments, conditions, vaccinations, dental and vision, and your doctors and hospitals with one-tap Call and Directions. Scan your insurance card or a prescription label and Orbit reads it in for you. Before a visit, Orbit gathers your recent symptoms, medications, and questions into one summary you can hand your doctor, or export as a clean PDF. Track more than one person's records — yourself, and with Plus, anyone you care for — each kept completely separate, backed up, and restorable. Health Records organizes; it never diagnoses or gives medical advice.

• Clock — a world clock (a new device starts with New York and Paris), a stopwatch, timers, and alarms that break through silent mode

Life admin, in one place

• Projects — active work, retainer countdowns, and the tasks linked to each one
• Content — a pipeline from idea to published

Orbit Plus unlocks everything else: the areas that build up a record of your life, the surfaces where Orbit reads and connects your data, and a set of capabilities layered into the features you already use.

Longtime testers are grandfathered in free — everyone who was using Orbit before November 11, 2026 keeps everything unlocked.
