It's official — ClockRings is live in the App Store. I'm a USPS Maintenance Support Clerk with 20+ years on the job, and I finally built the tool I always wished I had — made by a postal worker, for postal and shift workers like us.
If you've ever stared at the clock trying to convert decimal hours into real time in your head — this one's for you. ClockRings shows decimal and standard time side by side. No more math.
What it does for your tour
- Punch your whole day — clock in/out, lunch, breaks — in one tap
- See your hours by Day, Week, Pay Period, Month, or Year
- Estimate your pay using your own rates — overtime, penalty OT, night differential, Sunday premium, holidays & leave
- Get a heads-up before you cross 8, 10, or 40 hours into overtime
- Punch right from your Apple Watch, widgets, or Lock Screen — synced across iPhone, iPad & Watch
- No accounts, no ads, no tracking — your data stays in your own iCloud, and it's free to download
ClockRings is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with the United States Postal Service.
Quick FAQ
- Is it really free? Yep — 100% free to download and use. An optional tip jar supports development, but it doesn't unlock anything. No subscriptions, no paywall, no ads.
- Does it work on Android? No — iPhone, iPad & Apple Watch only for now.
- Can I use it for a non-USPS job? Absolutely. It's built with postal life in mind, but it works for any shift or hourly job — you set your own schedule and rates.
- Is my data private? Your data stays on your device and in your own private iCloud. No accounts, no servers, no tracking.
- Does it actually clock me in, or connect to TACS? No — it doesn't connect to or pull from any official timeclock system. Think of it as your own personal tour tracker and pay estimator, completely separate from your official time.
- How does it know my pay? It doesn't assume anything — you enter your own rates, and it estimates your gross pay from the hours you track. It's an estimate, not your official pay.
- Do I need an Apple Watch? Nope — it works great on just your iPhone. The Watch and widgets are bonuses.
