Clock Rings is an independent app built for shift and postal workers. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information. The short version: Clock Rings has no account, no ads, and no analytics. The developer operates no servers and never receives your data.
Nothing is collected by the developer. Clock Rings has no user accounts, no sign-in, no advertising, no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs, and no developer-operated backend. The developer cannot see your punches, hours, pay figures, leave, or location.
Everything you enter — punches, schedules, pay rates, leave, holidays, alarms, and settings — is stored:
iCloud sync uses your Apple Account and Apple’s infrastructure. It is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy. The developer has no access to your iCloud data.
If you turn on the optional Weather feature, Clock Rings asks for “When In Use” location access to show local conditions on the clock view. Your coordinates are rounded to roughly one kilometer and used solely to request current weather. The rounded location is sent to the weather provider to fetch a forecast and is not stored, not linked to your identity, and never used for advertising or tracking.
Weather providers:
open-meteo.com) — the default provider. The request contains only
the rounded latitude/longitude. See Open‑Meteo’s terms/privacy at
open-meteo.com.If you never enable Weather, the app does not request your location and no location data ever leaves your device.
Clock Rings contacts only:
apple.com) — a lightweight check used to verify accurate time for the
clock. No personal data is sent. There are no other network connections, and no data is sent to the developer or any advertiser.
Clock Rings is free. You may leave an optional tip to support development. Tips are processed entirely by Apple’s App Store; the developer receives only Apple’s standard sales reports and never sees your payment details.
The optional Earnings Statement Compare feature lets you paste your earnings-statement text from LiteBlue ePayroll and lines its numbers up against the app’s. The text is parsed entirely on your device — it is never uploaded, never stored, and never seen by the developer. The app automatically masks your name, employee ID, and any SSN or address in the text it shows back to you. Clock Rings does not use the camera.
Clock Rings is independent and not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with
the United States Postal Service (USPS). The “USPS Virtual Timecard” button simply
opens the public USPS web timecard (vtc.usps.gov) in Safari — the app does not log
in, store credentials, or read anything from that page. The “Reconcile with Virtual
Timecard” feature compares only the hours you paste in, on your device; nothing is
uploaded.
Clock Rings is not directed to children and collects no personal information from anyone.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date.
